The Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) has received expressions of interest (EOI) from a total of 26 companies, including five Saudi companies, for the proposed combined cycle gas-fired Taiba Power Plant.
The plant will have a net power capacity of 3,600MW and to be located near Madinah in the Western Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Following the start of commercial operations, SPPC plans to execute a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the nominated developer for a period of 25 years. The project will be built on a build, own, and operate (BOO) model.
Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) is being advised by Fichtner GmbH as Technical Consultant, Cranmore, appointed as Financial Consultant, and Linklaters, appointed as legal Consultant.
