NEOM continues to make significant strides in social responsibility, as highlighted by recent reports and ceremonies. Over the past year, NEOM has demonstrated a deep commitment to enhancing the quality of life for local communities, with its programs benefiting 50,000 people across the region. This dedication to social responsibility was further celebrated at the inaugural NEOM Social Responsibility Awards ceremony, where 19 individuals and organizations were honored for their outstanding contributions.
Achievements in Social Responsibility
The NEOM Social Responsibility (NEOM SR) 2023 report provides a detailed account of the impact of various initiatives over the past 12 months. Among the notable achievements, 26 projects were awarded to companies based in Tabuk, providing 583 people from NEOM and Tabuk with employment opportunities. One of the flagship initiatives, the NEOM Seven Senses Program, generated a social return on investment exceeding SAR 40 million, underscoring the significant value these projects bring to local communities.

Celebrating Contributions to Social Responsibility
On August 14, 2024, NEOM hosted its first-ever Social Responsibility Awards ceremony, celebrating the remarkable efforts of its employees, partners, and community members.
The event, attended by NEOM executives, business partners, students, and local residents, honored 19 winners across three main categories: NEOM Sectors, NEOM Partners, and NEOM Individuals. These awards recognize the best practices and exemplary contributions of individuals and organizations, reinforcing NEOM’s leadership in social responsibility.
NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr emphasized the importance of these efforts, stating, “Our commitment to social responsibility is a reflection of our core values and aligns seamlessly with NEOM’s vision and the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030. Sustainability, as one of NEOM’s pillars, drives us to innovate and act in ways that create lasting, positive impact.”
The award winners included prominent entities such as NEOM Operations, THE LINE proponent, and Oxagon, as well as partners like Nesma & Partners, Ernst & Young (EY), and King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). Individual winners were recognized for their dedication to advancing social responsibility, showcasing the diverse range of contributions that have made a meaningful difference in the community.
A Vision for the Future
NEOM’s social responsibility initiatives are not only about immediate impact but also about creating a lasting legacy. By fostering a culture of social responsibility, NEOM aims to inspire broader participation in community development, both within and beyond the boundaries of its projects. The introduction of an integrated volunteering ecosystem, which engaged over 1,300 volunteers in 2023, is a testament to NEOM’s commitment to empowering individuals and enhancing the quality of life for all.
As NEOM continues its journey toward becoming a global model for sustainable development, its social responsibility programs will play a crucial role in shaping a prosperous and inclusive future for the communities of NEOM and Tabuk.
