Tendering activity for NEOM residential projects has picked up in recent weeks, according to a report by GlobalData’s MEED.
NEOM’s Community Expansion Three program includes the issuance of two tenders for one and two-bedroom homes, as well as a supplementary tender for 25 dwellings at NEOM Zero. In addition, contractors are said to have expressed interest in a public-private partnership (PPP) package for a housing project at the 120-kilometer Gulf of Aqaba scheme, and a PPP accommodation tender for NEOM Mountain is also moving forward, according to the report.

NEOM has also recently received expressions of interest for a mobility hub that will be built at its base camp. The tender is believed to include areas for electric mobility administration and infrastructure, as well as electric vertical take-off, landing hangars, and drone transportation.
The Line, the 170km car and road-free belt of hyper-connected cities launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has also driven progress on infrastructure schemes within NEOM. Firms have until 30 December to submit bids for the contract to build 31 kilometres of tunnels as part of The Line’s infrastructure backbone.
