Celebrating the people, projects, and partnerships

This edition of Buna Pulse arrived at a pivotal moment, reflecting BUNA’s renewed brand identity that united growth, collaboration, and a forward-looking vision. “Through every story and update shared here, we celebrated the people, projects, and partnerships that shaped who we were and drove us toward a more innovative and sustainable future,” said Eslam Radwan, CEO of BUNA Holding.

Highlighting the company’s unwavering focus on excellence, the newsletter spotlighted remarkable safety milestones in the HSE & Safety Corner. BUNA achieved a new company record of 303 days without incidents, coupled with 98% safety compliance in the latest inspection. The Safety Tip of the Month urged teams to use temperature and humidity monitoring tools to assess heat-stress levels and post precaution signs, reminding workers to stay vigilant in demanding environments.

“Safety Isn’t a Department, It’s the Foundation.”

Reinforcing this ethos, Mohammed Sajid, Environment, Health, and Safety Manager, shared an insightful piece titled “Safety Isn’t a Department, It’s the Foundation.” He emphasized that true progress in construction meant ensuring everyone went home safe, an approach built on trust, accountability, and proactive risk prevention. “We aimed every day to prevent risks before they happened and to lead with consistency and care, because when safety was strong, everything else ran better,” Mohammed noted.

Empowering its workforce, BUNA’s Training & Development section honored Top Learner Hind Asri, who completed more than 70 hours of professional development in public speaking, effective leadership, creative problem-solving, content marketing planning, and business etiquette. A session on Advanced Excel with AI Analytics was scheduled for November to unlock AI’s potential in the workplace.

Unplugging for a few minutes to stretch, breathe, or step outside

From the People & Culture Desk, Ask the Expert offered practical wisdom on small habits that delivered a big impact. Organizational Excellence Manager Nora Mousatafa shared tips such as unplugging for a few minutes to stretch, breathe, or step outside for clarity; prioritizing the top three tasks daily for continuous improvement; and ending each week by reflecting on one win and one improvement area. “Great things were done by a series of small things brought together,” Nora advised.

Adding a refreshing touch, Fruit Day at BUNA brought teams together around a colorful spread of fresh fruits, promoting wellness, healthy habits, and positive energy. More than a snack break, it served as a reminder that simple gestures of care could brighten days and strengthen team spirit.

Under the banner “Together We Grow: People First,” the newsletter celebrated seven new joiners across departments, including Architectural Engineer Abdulmalik Talal, Construction Manager Ehab Hashem, and Business Development Manager Mohamed Awad. HR Announcements also introduced the appointment of professional fitness trainer Capt. Ahmed Abd El Lateif, who was hired to deliver tailored sessions exclusively for the team, enriching ongoing development programs and elevating workplace wellbeing.

The FeelRight Mental Health Programme featured a special BUPA session in November focused on managing stress through mindfulness and proper work-life balance. Attendees gained tools to build resilience, recharge, reflect, and learn, complete with giveaways to support a healthier mindset.

Buna Pulse also showcased standout employee achievements, including Employees of the Month IT Engineer Ahmed Shalaby and Procurement Engineer Mahmoud Magdy, and captured evocative moments such as the Photo of the Month from Historic Jeddah, where every alley told a story and every window whispered history.
