Zamil Steel Pre-Engineered Buildings Company, a subsidiary of Zamil Industrial, has wrapped up a significant contract from Bahri Logistics Company for the construction of the ‘Bahri Bonded Zone’ complex at Jeddah Islamic Port.
The Bahri Bonded Zone is a pioneering initiative that seeks to develop a state-of-the-art logistics center inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It consists of a warehouse, a mechanical roof, a mezzanine floor, an attached office building, and other utility annexes.

After signing the contract with Mohammed Mikwar, the Contract Logistics Senior Manager at Bahri Logistics Company, Nawaf Mohammed Al Zamil, the President of Zamil Steel Company, stated that this was a significant turning point for the business and further cemented its standing as a reliable partner for complex and large-scale logistics infrastructure projects in the Kingdom.
According to Al Zamil, the project’s scope includes designing, manufacturing, supplying, and erecting a pre-engineered steel structure that is roughly 37,000m2 in size. He said that the structure is being painstakingly constructed to handle all temperature, lateral (wind and seismic), and gravity loads, guaranteeing outstanding durability and safety in the demanding port environment.
