ACMC, in collaboration with Shell & AMG Recycling (SARBV) and UCI, is seeking qualified contractors to join its metals reclamation venture in Saudi Arabia. The tendering process for the supercentre, overseen by SARBV as ACMC’s leading partner, aligns with the Aramco Namaat Industrial Investments Program’s mission to develop domestic industrial champions.
The details available on SARBV’s website indicate that ACMC is taking the lead in creating a cutting-edge supercenter at the Jubail Industrial Complex (Plaschem Park), with the goal of repurposing oil refinery waste into ferrovanadium and high-purity vanadium oxide for various applications.
Contractors with expertise in large-scale industrial projects, particularly in metals and recycling technologies, are being sought for the execution of the project’s initial phase.
The first phase is dedicated to the conversion of gasification ash from the Jazan Refining Complex into vanadium oxide and vanadium electrolyte
The first phase is dedicated to the conversion of gasification ash from the Jazan Refining Complex into vanadium oxide and vanadium electrolyte, both essential components for battery-grade vanadium products. The plant’s maximum capacity allows for the processing of 7,000 metric tonnes of vanadium concentrate each year. The project is in the FEL 3 (FEED) conclusion phase and preparations are underway to start construction with commissioning expected towards the end of 2026.
