Al Sharif X, a subsidiary of Al Sharif Group Holding, has signed an agreement with Petroly to provide its petrol stations with electric vehicles chargers across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This relationship, which is the first of its type in the country, builds on Al Sharif Group’s commitment to developing sustainable and green technology infrastructure as part of the Saudi Vision 2030.
Fast to ultra-fast DC chargers with power ranging from 50kW to 350kW are included in the agreement, with the Group CEO of Al Sharif Holding Group, Nawaf bin Fayez Al Sharif, explaining: “This cooperation represents a quantum leap in the field of operating electric vehicle charging points in the Kingdom.” He added: “We in the group look forward to building various partnerships that will enable us to localize modern technologies and improve the level of services. We are also keen for Al Sharif X to establish the infrastructure for charging electric vehicles as part of the Kingdom’s vision 2030, and we also aim to expand its network to more than 70 locations of Petroly’s stations across the Kingdom to accelerate the progress of Saudi electric vehicles adoption and contribute to the kingdom’s commitment of 30% electric vehicles in Riyadh.”

Furthermore, Petroly’s CEO, Salem Beloobid, expressed his desire for increased cooperation with Petroly’s efforts to pace with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to transition to clean energy and enable electric vehicles: “This cooperation will contribute to achieving a number of the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, such as improving services and achieving environmental sustainability.
“Al-Sharif Holding Group won the project as we have the full confidence that they are qualified for large-scale projects, and Sharif X will install the first charger in one of Riyadh’s stations, taking advantage of its strategic location in the second quarter of 2022.”
