Amaala, the ultra-luxury destination located along the north-western coast of Saudi Arabia, has issued a tender for the Power Utility package.

The project scope of work involves constructing a new indoor 380/132/13.8kV Gas Insulated Substation. Major equipment includes 380kV GIS, 132kV GIS, 502MVA Power Transformers, Protection and Control System, Substation Automation System, Telecommunication System, Civil works and Electro-mechanical works.
The chosen contractor will also construct two new indoor 132/33kV Substations. Essential equipment includes 132kV GIS, 100MVA Power Transformers, Protection & Control System, Substation Automation System, Telecommunication System, Civil works and Electro-mechanical works.

Scope of work includes the construction of a new indoor 380/132/13.8kV Gas Insulated Substation
Construction of 380kV and 132kV Overhead Transmission line (OHTL) connecting the New Substations with the Grid is also part of the tender.
The substations and associated network will be constructed as per Saudi Electricity Company standards.
The contractor will agree to perform on a ‘lump-sum turnkey basis’ the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, and all associated work and services until the final handing over of the substation works in an acceptably functioning and operating condition.
