Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co. has announced that a contract for the delivery of steel towers for 380 kV transmission lines has been awarded. The contract is worth SAR 178.6 million ($47.6 million).
The project was awarded by the Arabian Electrical Transmission Line Construction Co Ltd (AETCON), and as part of the contract, the company will supply the steel towers for constructing a 380 kV link between Buhirah Station and Tabarjal Station. The contract will last for 12 months.

AETCON had previously submitted the lowest bid of $144.7 million for the 380kV OHTL between Buhirah Station and Tabarjal Station in September 2021.
