The UAE’s P&O Maritime Logistics and Netherlands-based Mammoet have signed a contract for the transportation of Sheybarah Island villas for Saudi Arabian developer Red Sea Global (RSG).
Part of the Saudi Vision 2030, the Sheybarah Island Resort will include a total of 73 pre-manufactured villas, a number of which will hover above the island’s diverse ecosystem.
Stainless steel orbs for the villas were conceptualized by Miami firm Oppenheim Architecture and designed by Killa Design, the company behind Dubai’s Museum of the Future.
P&O Maritime Logistics will utilize its versatile MCV fleet
The contract between Dubai-based P&O Maritime Logistics and heavy lifting company Mammoet will ensure delivery of the villas from Hamriyah, Sharjah, to Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Coast. P&O Maritime Logistics will utilize its versatile multi-carrying vessel (MCV) fleet to transport off-site factory-made pre-finished volumetric hotel villas to the resort.
P&O Maritime Logistics, a subsidiary of DP World, owns and operates 400 vessels worldwide, offering a diverse range of value-added services to customers.
