Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has awarded the contract for the Installation of 380kV Underground Cables at Um Al Jood Substation to Riyadh Cables Co. Ltd, with the value of the contract being put at SAR 121 million.
The scope of work includes the complete design, supply and installation of two 380kV cable circuits consisting of 2500m2 of copper conductor, super clean-XLPE cables circuits with all required joining terminations, accessories and associated civil works. The approximate length of the route is 15km.

The contractor shall perform on a lump-sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new cable work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
