Saudi Aramco and Linde Engineering to Showcase Ammonia-Cracking Technology

The partnership will bring together the two companies’ experience and capabilities in industrial research and development, lower-carbon hydrogen, and ammonia cracking technology.

The ammonia cracking catalyst, developed jointly by Aramco and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), will be assessed against other catalysts as a possible differentiator of this new technology.
Aramco and Linde Engineering have agreed to establish a demonstration plant in northern Germany to display this revolutionary ammonia cracking technology.
