Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has invited bids for the construction of the Jafurah 380/230kV Substation. The project is located is in the Kingdom’s eastern region.
The project scope of work includes the construction of a new indoor 380/230kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) with major equipment that consists of 380kV GIS, 230kV GIS, 752MVA Power Transformers, Reactors, Protection and Control System, Substation Automation System, Telecommunication System, Security System, Cyber Security, Civil Works and Electro-Mechanical Works.
The bid submission date is 10 January 2022
Design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing, and commissioning, as well as all associated work and services, shall be performed on a lump sum turnkey basis until final handover of the substation work in a satisfactory working and operating condition.
The project completion period is 29 months and the bid submission date is 10 January 2022.
The Jafurash gas field is the largest natural gas field in the Kingdom, extending170 km by 100 km, is estimated at 200 trillion cubic feet of rich raw gas.
