Riyadh event connects construction priorities, technical expertise and commercial opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
Big 5 Construct Saudi concluded its August 2026 edition in Riyadh, bringing together construction industry professionals and government representatives across four days of business engagement, technical discussion and collaboration. Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the event focused on the foundational stages of construction through four specialized events, including HVACR Saudi Arabia, FM & Clean Saudi Arabia, Heavy Saudi Arabia and Totally Concrete Saudi Arabia.
Four specialized events addressed key construction industry priorities
Across the exhibition floor, local and international companies presented solutions spanning HVACR, steel, pumping, water management, construction equipment, building technologies and facilities management, reflecting the increasingly specific requirements of projects across the Kingdom. This business activity also extended into signed partnerships, with FIPCO and SAPTEC formalizing their cooperation, while Alruwais signed separate agreements with Nemetschek and Gulf Machines Trading Co. (GUMACO), illustrating how conversations at the event can develop into new commercial relationships.
These conversations extended into the CPD-certified Big 5 Talks program, where industry experts examined some of the practical issues influencing project delivery. Sessions covered governance, procurement, supply chain resilience, technology, sustainability and construction delivery, with speakers including Christopher Seymour of Mace Arabia and Shonagh Kinnaird of Misk City discussing collaboration and governance in major projects, while Dr Ahmed Mamdouh of Dar Engineering explored the application of AI in project delivery. Other sessions looked at modular construction, building codes, concrete quality and sustainability, bringing technical and operational considerations into the conversation.

Sustainability was another consistent thread across the event, with the Big 5 Impact Trail showcasing solutions focused on resource efficiency, environmental performance and long-term asset management. The initiative also provided the setting for the Big 5 Impact Trail Awards, recognizing Prime Middle East Trading Company for its low-GWP refrigerant solutions, Masdar for its circular economy approach through Kronospan products and Al-Futtaim Engineering Company for its integrated facilities management solution.

Commenting on the August 2026 edition, Muhammed Kazi, Senior Vice President, dmg events, said: “This year’s Big 5 Construct Saudi showed how quickly industry conversations can translate into new connections, collaborations and commercial opportunities. As the market continues to evolve, we will continue adapting the event to reflect changing project requirements and bring the right expertise, solutions and stakeholders together.”
