Ceer, the Kingdom’s first electric vehicle brand and original equipment manufacturer, has awarded a SAR 5 billion ($1.3 billion) contract to Modern Building Leaders (MBL) for the construction of its new manufacturing complex within King Abdullah Economic City.
The new Ceer Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Complex will occupy an area of over one million square meters and will have dedicated areas for each step of the vehicle production process, such as a body shop, paint shop, press shop, and general assembly. It will also include dedicated spaces for waste management, logistics, offices, warehouses, and a car test track.

In line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to achieve economic diversification, carbon emission reduction, and sustainable development, Ceer is a joint venture between the Saudi sovereign wealth fund PIF and Foxconn, a multinational electronics contract manufacturer based in Taiwan.
