Civil & Electrical Projects Contracting Company (CEPCO) has announced that it has been awarded the project for the construction of two double circuits of underground cables to New Diriyah Gate 380kV BSP#9082 sub-station. The value of the contract is SAR 274.97 million.
The project was awarded by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), which in August of this year had received proposals from nine bidders.
The scope of work includes the complete design, supply and installation of two 380kV cable circuits, consisting of 2500m2 of copper conductor, super clean-XLPE cables circuits with all required joining terminations, accessories and associated civil works. The dismantling of 380kV OHTL is part of the contract.

CEPCO will perform on a lump sum turnkey basis, providing the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new cable work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition. The contract will run for 25 months and was signed by Eng. Mohammad Al Azam, Vice President of CEPCO.
