The contract for the second group project of the initiative to strengthen partnership with the private sector was signed by HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh.
Within the scope of the programme, 60 public schools will be built and maintained in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah (construction, maintenance, and transformation). This is part of the Ministry of Education’s Public-Private Partnership Enhancement Program for the provision of educational buildings, which is part of the privatization programme, a directive of Vision 2030.

The finished project will play host to more than 50,000 pupils. The implementation will be done in collaboration with the required authorities, which include the Ministry of Finance, the National Center for Privatization, and the Spending Efficiency and Governmental Initiatives Authority, which have all supported partnership projects with the private sector.

His Highness, the Governor of the Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region, remarked on the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince’s strong support and interest in education and its development, as well as the preparation of educational facilities to create an ideal educational environment. His Highness expressed his gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Education for his tireless efforts to see that educational buildings are completed and that the goals of the ‘Tibah without rented buildings’ project are met, which this project will accomplish.
