First-of-its-kind luxury eco-resort development takes shape in Al-Ahsa.
Dan Company has officially laid the foundation stone for its inaugural resort development project, Tuaja luxury resorts at a special ceremony in Al-Ahsa. His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr Al Saud, Governor of Al-Ahsa, presided over the event, joined by dignitaries, officials, and Hilton representatives.
A Vision for Sustainable Rural Tourism
Dan Company, a PIF entity, is investing heavily in the Kingdom’s hospitality sector. The Tuaja resorts are expected to contribute SAR 6 billion to the Kingdom’s GDP by 2030, drawing in 14 million visitors annually, including 1.4 million overnight stays and 12 million day experiences.

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr Al Saud underscored the importance of these developments, saying: “These ambitious projects support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, highlighting the leadership’s commitment to promoting sustainable tourism development in the Kingdom. The Tuaja luxury resorts contribute to shaping the future of rural tourism in Al-Ahsa, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and pride in our rich cultural heritage and authentic hospitality. This project represents a practical model of the comprehensive development taking place across the Kingdom under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. With its unique natural, cultural, and historical assets, Al-Ahsa continues to solidify its position as a global touristic destination. We remain committed to strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors to deliver development projects that meet the highest standards of quality, fulfill the aspirations of citizens and visitors, and align with Vision 2030.”
Three Unique Resorts Under One Vision
The Tuaja development includes three distinct luxury resorts:
- Tuaja Premium Farm Resorts: Inspired by the colors and blossoms of Al-Ahsa’s palm trees, offering immersive farm-to-table dining and luxurious villas designed for relaxation.
- Tuaja Eco Resorts: A tranquil retreat inspired by Al-Ahsa’s natural springs, featuring wellness treatments, a ‘five senses’ garden, and sustainability-focused tours.
- Tuaja Adventure Resorts: Built for thrill-seekers, with activities like horseback riding, cycling, stargazing, and enjoying local cuisine by an open fire.

Each resort will be operated by Hilton, ensuring global standards of excellence while showcasing the region’s natural and cultural heritage.
A Commitment to Authenticity and Sustainability
During the ceremony, miniature design models of the resorts were unveiled, alongside immersive sample room setups that captured the resorts’ unique blend of luxury and heritage. Dan Company is committed to LEED Gold certification across its developments, reinforcing its environmental and cultural stewardship.

Mr. Saad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kroud, Chairman of Dan Company, expressed his excitement: “Today marks a major milestone and turning point in our journey to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences across the Kingdom, celebrating the cultural, historical, and natural richness of the Al-Ahsa region. Tuaja Resorts are not merely destinations, they offer an extraordinary blend of authenticity and modernity.”
A Central Hub for Culture and Community
At the heart of the Tuaja development will be a lively plaza surrounded by lush gardens, offering immersive cultural experiences and a state-of-the-art conference and events venue. These elements ensure the resorts cater to both leisure and business travelers.
Future Expansion Across the Kingdom
The Tuaja resorts in Al-Ahsa are just the beginning. Future expansions will extend this model of authentic, sustainable luxury to other regions of Saudi Arabia, supporting Vision 2030’s mission to position the Kingdom as a premier global tourism destination.
