Dawiyat Integrated Telecommunications and Information Technology Company, wholly-owned by SEC, continues to support the digital infrastructure of Saudi Arabia’s cities and governorates in a bid to enable communication and internet services providers to offer ultra-fast broadband services to end-users.
Dawiyat has installed 25,000 kilometres of fibre optic cables, connecting more than 531,000 homes with the network across nine regions, including Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah Al-Munawarah, Aseer, Hail, Al Jouf, and Al Qassim.
The efforts come as part of the expansion plan to enhance digital infrastructure. They are one aspect of the initiatives of the National Transformation Programme 2020 aimed at developing the communication and information technology (ICT) sector and providing ultra-fast broadband services nationwide.
