According to a statement from its developer, Red Sea Global (RSG), the future mountain resort, Desert Rock, has passed a critical milestone with 50% of its development being completed.
Desert Rock, designed by Miami-based Oppenheim Architecture, blends into the landscape with ease, with the resort’s entrance reached via a hidden valley that leads to lodgings built into the rock formations. The resort also boasts facilities such as a spa, fitness center, dining venues, and a lagoon oasis, guaranteeing a holistic and invigorating experience for visitors. Outdoor aficionados can participate in a variety of activities, including hiking, dune buggy rides, and celestial gazing, further enhancing the connection to the surrounding natural grandeur.
Desert Rock has big ambitions for the future too. By 2030, it intends to encompass 50 resorts, in excess of 8,000 hotel rooms, and 1,000 residences across 22 islands and six land pockets. The resort’s expansive vision embraces luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment zones, leisure facilities, and an international airport, characterizing what is planned to be a comprehensive and congenial sanctuary.

In alignment with a responsibility to encourage and promote sustainability, Oppenheim Architecture underlined the fact that the majority of construction materials will be sourced from on-site recycling, thus minimizing environmental impact while making sure that the new structures harmoniously reflect the colors and minerals of the local environment.
