The Saudi Council of Engineers will host the third International Engineering Conference and Exhibition, entitled ‘Engineering and the Road to 2030’, from 27 February to 2 March in Riyadh, under the direction of the Saudi Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing Majid Al-Hogail.
According to Abdulnasser Saif Al-Abdullatef, Secretary-General of the Saudi Council of Engineers, the conference is an important platform that brings together local, regional and international experts, academics and researchers in engineering to discuss the most important issues concerning the sector’s future, adding: “The conference also encourages the exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices and stresses the role of Saudi Arabia as a pioneer in the advancement of the engineering sector.”

Al-Abdullatef said that the conference intends to accomplish numerous goals, including encouraging Saudis to engage in scientific research, fostering engineering innovation, and increasing the relationship between international engineering organizations and society. “The conference’s scientific committee has received over 500 scientific papers aimed at enhancing discussions in civil and chemical engineering, architecture, and other related fields.”
