The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the start of the Expression of Interest (EOI) phase for the clinical and non-clinical operations and maintenance of the SABIC Behavioral Care Specialist Hospital project in Al-Nargis district, North Riyadh, in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization and PPP (NCP).
The hospital’s building and part of the medical and non-medical equipment are provided by the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) social responsibility program; the exclusive supporting partner. At this time, the construction of the hospital is in progress and is expected to be completed later this year.
The hospital will be erected on a 62,500m2 site and will have a capacity of 150 beds
The MoH is looking for a specialized private-sector operator to run (clinical and non-clinical operations) and maintain the hospital, as well as provide some medical and non-medical equipment.
The hospital will be erected on a 62,500m2 site and will have a capacity of 150 beds, with five inpatient treatment rooms, 19 outpatient clinics, and six daycare treatment rooms.
The facility is a big step forward in improving access to mental health and substance abuse treatment in the Kingdom
Adults and adolescents will be able to receive specialized mental health and substance addiction therapy at the hospital, which will be open to both genders. The facility is a big step forward in improving access to mental health and substance abuse treatment in the Kingdom by providing high-quality care that follows international best practices and follows the national mental health paradigm. In addition, by boosting private sector participation in the healthcare sector, the hospital will contribute to a key goal of Vision 2030.
The MoH has welcomed interested national and international investors and clinical providers to see the EOI document on the MoH or NCP websites. The deadline for EOI submissions is Sunday, 30 January 2022, at 3:00 p.m. KSA time.
