The master developer of the Jeddah Central Project and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the Jeddah Central Development Company (JCDC) has announced that it has signed a contract with Dar Al-Handasah Consultants to complete the detailed master plan design for the first phase of the project.
Dar Al-Handasah will be responsible for the design and technical consultation of the Jeddah Central Project, which will pave the way for construction to begin, as well as the master plan designs, which will include all four major architectural landmarks and the development of assets on both the horizontal and vertical levels. Local and international specialists from Jeddah will lead the design process, which is part of the company’s overall ambition to establish a worldwide destination in the heart of Jeddah.
Three major architectural landmarks are intended to be included in the project’s first phase: an Opera House, a Stadium, and an Oceanarium and Coral Farms.

The project has a waterfront location with a 9.5-kilometer shoreline, including a world-class marina to accommodate local and international yachts, in addition to 2.1 kilometers of sandy beaches.
The initiative will help to develop high-quality projects in sectors including tourism, sports, culture, entertainment, commercial, and residential development. Residents’ living standards will be raised as a result of the project, which will provide global entertainment options as well as greater career prospects. Its innovative designs are inspired by Jeddah’s original cultural identity, combining traditional architecture with modern urban design elements, according to a statement.
