Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC) is moving quickly on the construction of its mega project in Makkah, aiming to complete the second and the third phases by the fourth quarter of this year, and phase four by the fourth quarter of 2024.
To ensure that the project is completed on schedule, the developer has partnership agreements in place with several companies, including Fluor International.
JODC CEO, Khaled Al Amoudi, explained: “As part of the company’s strategic transformation plan, we have started executing the vital initiatives within JODC’s comprehensive financial, organizational and operational strategic optimization plan. This has enabled us to set clear targets for all the project’s existing phases.”

The JODC master project, which has a built-up area of more than 2.5 million square meters and a land area of more than 23.5 hectares, is being constructed in stages. Phase one has already been completed, and phases two, three, and four are currently in various stages of completion. When all four phases are finished, there will be a total of 15 towers, with 5,000 rooms in five- and four-star hotels.
Companies including the Jumeirah International Hotel Group, Archipelago International, H Hotels and Resorts, and Emaar Hospitality will operate the hotels.

“We have partnered with renowned experts to complete all of the project’s existing phases and the infrastructure as per the revised target launch. From now on, we will work to harness all required resources, from financial to human capital, to ensure timely and on-budget completion of the project,” concluded Chief Development and Projects Manager, Saad bin Aiban.
