The King Khalid Foundation and TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) have signed an agreement to encourage sustainable digital practices among Saudi university students. According to a statement, the programme is dubbed ‘Sustainathon’ and aims to assist students in designing ideas that will benefit this evolving field.
For three months, the King Khalid Foundation and TCS will hold online seminars to assist ‘Sustainathon’ participants with their projects. At the end of the period, students will have to present their ideas to a panel of judges.

Prizes will be awarded based on adherence to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and practical applications.
Princess Nouf bint Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Saud, the CEO of the King Khalid Foundation, represented the organisation at the signing event. Sumanta Roy, President and Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at TCS, represented the company.
The King Khalid Foundation and the TCS want to foster collaboration among stakeholders in the business and non-profit sectors by exchanging information and sharing expertise. The King Khalid Foundation was founded in 2001 as an autonomous national non-profit organisation. Its objective is to build a successful society based on equality and sustainability.
