Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Park Foundation has awarded a substantial $400 million contract to Freyssinet Saudi Arabia for the construction of the Grand Mosque and Arabian Gardens at King Salman Park in Riyadh. The extensive project includes the construction of a grand mosque, underground parking for approximately 750 vehicles, a tunnel, landscaping, and a variety of essential utilities to support the site. Construction work is anticipated to commence soon, with completion targeted for 2027.
The park will feature over 150 unique attractions
Situated south of King Abdullah Road, north of Makkah Al-Mukkarramah Road, and west of the Eastern Ring Road, King Salman Park spans 16.9 square kilometers, making it one of the largest urban park projects globally. Upon completion, the park will feature 12 kilometers of green space, over 150 unique attractions, 10 million square meters of developed areas, and parking facilities for 18,000 vehicles. The park’s development is on track, with plans for additional private developments within its urban districts to further enhance its offerings and functionality.
