The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), has announced the launch of the Request for Qualification (RFQ) for its Priority Concessions procurement project.
Mawani intends to grant eight multi-purpose terminal concessions across eight commercial and industrial ports, which will provide a number of services related to the handling of General Cargo, RoRo, Bulk, Containers and Livestock.
The concessions are intended to improve the quality of services offered to specific groups such as the private sector, importers, and exporters, as well as contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 ambitions of becoming an international logistical hub.

The Priority Concessions are anticipated to be procured under a long-term public-private partnership arrangement based on the BOT model (Build, Operate, and Transfer).
All interested local and international investors are invited to submit a Statement of Qualification (SOQ). Technical, financial, and other general evaluation criteria will be used to evaluate the received SOQs. The deadline for submitting SOQs is 9 February 2022 at 3 p.m.
