In partnership with the World Economic Forum, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, has launched the Saudi Advanced Manufacturing Hub (Saudi AMHUB) initiative.
Alkhorayef explained that the platform intends to promote the local industrial sector through partnership with the Global Network of Advanced Manufacturing Hubs.
Ibrahim Al-Mojel, CEO of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), added that the platform adopts its advanced manufacturing strategy. It also strengthens ties between investors and global providers of advanced technologies and enables the local industrial sector to use such advanced technologies.

The platform works on three approaches. First, accessing talent and its development, which is led by KFUPM; second, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), led by Obeikan Investment Group; and third, enabling technology transfer and innovations, led by SABIC.
