According to the UNWTO, all proposals must align with the Sustainable Development Goals and incorporate the introduction or adaptation of digital and technology aspects. These must be focused on at least one of the following areas:

The competition is Saudi Arabia’s first national initiative aimed at selecting innovative businesses that will lead the country’s tourism revolution.
In addition to established enterprise, the competition encourages proposals from Saudi Arabian start-ups and innovators with ideas capable of revolutionizing and inspiring tourists by presenting new ways and reasons to travel.
Participants must be Saudi citizens with the legal capacity to engage into a contract, and applications will be accepted until 24 October 2021. Successful ideas will be chosen based on various factors, including their level of innovation, viability, and sustainability.
