The Gulf Stevedoring Contracting Company (GSCCO) has announced a $ 50 million investment in Saudi Arabia’s largest industrial city, Jubail Commercial Port.
The company works in the Kingdom as a subsidiary of the private Emirati multinational company Gulftainer. This investment will increase its capacity at the port and boost its handling capacity to 1.8 million TEUs, diversifying local operations.

The investment includes installing additional assets and equipment at the port, revamping the port’s IT system, and dredging works. GSCCO Managing Director Jason French commented: “We’re proud to continue to support the transformation that Jubail Commercial Port has undergone since we first started handling operations. We look forward to expanding further to support major exporters and importers and the greater city of Jubail.”

The port expansion is expected to contribute more than $100 million to Jubail’s annual GDP.
