Partanna has partnered with Saudi Readymix (SRM) to test carbon-negative concrete at SRM’s facility in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is a huge statement of intent as Partanna moves towards sustainable construction practices.
In the course of a full-shift operation, Partanna’s carbon-negative binder was seamlessly integrated with SRM’s existing aggregate to produce concrete blocks, a process that eradicated the use of traditional Portland cement. The concrete blocks produced were tested by materials and technology company ACES, and have met the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization’s requirements.
