According to Bader Al-Sharif, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Technical Affairs at Sharqia Development Authority, the first phase of the public transportation project in Dammam will commence in 2022 with the bus project.
The project includes two main lines, the first linking Darin Island to the North and Qatif, passing through Dammam and Dhahran to the King Fahd Causeway linking Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The second mainline connects King Fahd Road to Dammam as a main artery to King Fahd International Airport in the West.
