The recently held 13th edition of the Real Estate Development Summit (REDS) proved to be a captivating showcase, with attendees flocking to the Summit to be immersed in a world of innovative ideas and a plethora of real estate options.
This year’s RED Summit turned its focus to Saudi Arabia, a global frontrunner in the construction industry, and took place at the Sheraton Milan Malpensa Airport Hotel & Conference Centre, Milan, Italy, the ideal venue for such an event.
Bringing together over 200 developers, designers, architects, operators, contractors, consultants, and suppliers from across the globe, the Summit served as an excellent platform for networking and establishing connections with key industry professionals. The event also encompassed insightful knowledge-sharing sessions and pre-scheduled face-to-face meetings.

Saudi Project’s own Laura Wojciechowski moderated one of the panel discussions, featuring leading industry lights Glen Bosco Lopes, Design Manager at Dar Al Arkan; Alessandro Tedesco, Chief Operating Officer at FEBC Group; and Christos Passas, Director at Zaha Hadid Architects. Indeed, this discussion was one of the highlights of the Summit, with these incredibly knowledgeable professionals providing advice and guidance to attendees. They patiently answered questions, shared market insights, and explained the intricacies of their specific sectors. This personalized interaction was invaluable for those seeking clarity and assistance in making informed decisions.

Other speakers at the Summit included Anas Hasan, Design Director at the Rua Almadinah Holding Company with over 24 years of experience in design and development; Arjan Pit, Managing Director MEA, UNSTUDIO, who has extensive international experience in complex master planning and architectural projects in Europe, China, and the Middle East; Mohammed Adib, Partner and Chief Design Officer at Dewan Architects + Engineers, who has directed projects in the Middle East, SE Asia, Europe, and Africa; and designboom’s Managing Director of Commerce, Torsten Mischel.
All of these experts shared one unifying characteristic: they are each working on upcoming projects in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom is, of course, developing new destinations with the goal of boosting its tourism industry, and most of these high-end projects seek unique solutions from international solution providers. This is what inspired RED Summit to host this event, gathering global companies together in Italy to meet Saudi Arabian buyers.
With its diverse business opportunities and emphasis on innovation, REDS provided a unique platform for both industry professionals and potential buyers to explore, connect, and stay abreast of the latest developments. It undoubtedly served as a catalyst for inspiring new possibilities and shaping the future of Saudi Arabian real estate.
