Rheem, a global leader in HVACR and water heating solutions, has introduced two advanced product lines to the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market: the Odin Plus Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater and the Century Comfort Ducted Inverter Series. Designed to meet the region’s growing demand for energy-efficient and environmentally responsible systems, these innovations combine performance, reliability, and intelligent technology.
Hybrid heat pump delivers high efficiency with low energy use
The Odin Plus Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater is engineered for optimal efficiency, utilizing heat from ambient air to warm water. This approach significantly reduces energy consumption, delivering both immediate and long-term cost savings for developers and homeowners. With a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of up to 3.86 and a low power consumption of just 430 watts, the unit achieves high output with minimal energy input.
Equipped with a Direct Current (DC) inverter compressor and inverter fans, the system continuously adjusts its operation to match demand. This not only enhances efficiency but also ensures quieter performance and extended product lifespan compared to traditional fixed-speed systems.
Smart monitoring enables remote control and real-time system insights
The unit is also PV-ready and compatible with solar energy systems, supporting further reductions in energy use. Integrated Wi-Fi and Rheem’s EcoNet® Smart Monitoring System allow users to control settings remotely, receive alerts, and monitor performance in real time. In addition, the system is BMS-ready, enabling seamless integration into centralized building management systems via Modbus RS485. Durability is reinforced through the use of magnesium and titanium anodes for corrosion protection, alongside a backup heating element to ensure consistent hot water supply.
Complementing this launch is the Century Comfort Ducted Inverter Series, a high-performance cooling solution tailored for the Gulf’s demanding climate conditions. Featuring intelligent controls, the system automatically detects room requirements and adjusts compressor speed to maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels. This results in improved comfort while significantly lowering energy consumption and operating costs.
Designed for Gulf climates with reliable extreme weather performance
The system is designed to operate efficiently in both high and low ambient temperatures, ensuring uninterrupted performance even in extreme weather. Reduced vibration and noise levels enhance user comfort, while built-in safety features, including high- and low-pressure controls and multiple sensors ensure reliable operation.
With high EER and CSPF ratings across T1 and T3 conditions, and the use of R32 refrigerant, the system delivers superior energy efficiency with lower environmental impact compared to conventional refrigerants.
