The announcement follows the arrival of its first three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft and signals the carrier’s ambition to connect Saudi Arabia with key global, regional, and domestic hubs.
Five new destinations go on sale
With ticket sales to London already underway, the addition of these five routes expands Riyadh Air’s initial network to six destinations. Flight operations are set to begin on 14 June for Jeddah, followed by 18 Dubai on June, Cairo on 25 June, Madrid on 17 July, and Manchester on 23July.
London launch moved forward to June
The airline also confirmed that its inaugural London service will now launch earlier than planned, moving from 1 July to 10 June 2026, reflecting accelerated aircraft deliveries and operational readiness.
Dreamliner fleet rollout gains momentum
Each route will be operated by Riyadh Air’s new Dreamliner fleet, part of a planned total of 72 aircraft. Designed to deliver a next-generation passenger experience, the aircraft feature a four-class configuration from Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy, alongside advanced in-flight technology, ergonomic seating, and enhanced onboard connectivity.
Beyond point-to-point travel, the airline aims to position Riyadh as a major transit hub, linking passengers from Europe and the Americas to destinations across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The network expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 strategy to strengthen global connectivity and tourism.
Speaking on the announcement, Tony Douglas Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, stated, “These routes have been carefully selected to serve key markets for business, tourism, and trade, and are designed to facilitate seamless transit for travelers from Europe to destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and beyond, aligning with our ambition to become a global airline and a significant contributor to Vision 2030.
