The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) and Italy’s global Slow Food movement have announced a partnership focused on the sustainable development and promotion of AlUla’s agricultural and culinary heritage. This collaboration aims to emphasize the economic, social, and health benefits of AlUla’s local products, enrich the region’s food culture, enhance agricultural sustainability, and support the production of eco-friendly foods.
The partnership will connect northwest Arabia with Slow Food’s international network
Building on two years of successful food events in AlUla, which established the region as a vibrant destination for food enthusiasts and tourists, the partnership will connect northwest Arabia with Slow Food’s international network, active in 150 countries. Guided by Slow Food’s principles of agroecology, conservation of natural resources, and biodiversity, this initiative aligns with RCU’s strategy to support local farmers and expand market access for their products.
