Water reservoirs, as well as all accompanying infrastructure and facilities, will be part of the project.
Under a 30-Year Water Storage Agreement (WSA), the winning bidder will provide the requisite storage capacity to SWPC through a project company
SWPC intends to hold a competitive tender to find a private sector developer (or developer consortia) to handle the project’s development, financing, procurement, implementation, operation, maintenance, and transfer (BOOT).
Under a 30-Year Water Storage Agreement (WSA), the winning bidder will provide the requisite storage capacity to SWPC through a project company that will be established. SWPC’s obligations under the WSA will be supported by a credit support arrangement with the Saudi Arabian government.
The deadline for interested parties to declare their interest in participating in the tender process is 6 January 2022, according to the announcement.
