Saudi-based construction company, Trading Development Partnership (TDP) has been awarded the EPC contract for the ‘Construction of a 132kV Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) for interconnection of the Uraidh (8374) substation’ in Riyadh.
The value of the contract is SAR 81.1 million, and was awarded by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), following bids during February 2021.
The project involves the design and construction of two 132kV OHTL to connect the Uraidh (8374) substation with the grid. The approximate route length of the total OHTL is 11.4km.
The project scope of works also includes 22km of 132kV cable and associated outdoor equipment. The new OHTL will be installed on latticed steel towers in a vertical configuration using ACSR/AW Condor Conductor.
The contractor shall perform on a lump sum turnkey basis, providing the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new OHTL work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contract completion period is 25 months.
