Jeddah Economic Company has restarted work on the world’s tallest tower which, at over 1000 meters tall and with a total construction area of 530,000m2, is the centerpiece of Jeddah’s Kingdom City Development.
Contractors have been invited by the developer to bid by the end of 2023 for a contract to complete the record-breaking structure. The contractors have been given three months to prepare their bids, with companies expected to establish joint ventures encompassing both local and international partners.

The work on the superstructure of the tower, which commenced in the early 2010s with the local Saudi Binladin Group as the contractor, is one-third completed.
Jeddah Tower will be taller than the world’s current tallest tower – Dubai’s Burj Khalifa – by more than 172 meters.
