Jeddah Economic Company has restarted work on the world’s tallest tower which, at over 1000 meters tall and with a total construction area of 530,000m2, is the centerpiece of Jeddah’s Kingdom City Development.
Contractors have been invited by the developer to bid by the end of 2023 for a contract to complete the record-breaking structure. The contractors have been given three months to prepare their bids, with companies expected to establish joint ventures encompassing both local and international partners.
Touching the Sky, Changing the World
The Jeddah Tower is set to provide soaring inspiration in a new era of commerce, leisure, and distinctive living. The first of its type, its record-breaking height will undoubtedly surpass the current title holder’s (Burj Khalifa in Dubai) height, but not only for sky-reaching purposes; its goal is to become the focal point of attracting investment into the surrounding region, as well as attracting development and expansion for the benefit of citizens and expats alike.
Arguably the eighth wonder of the world, it is primarily intended to serve as a mixed-use building and is expected to house luxury apartments, a high-end hotel, office spaces, and various other amenities. The Tower will feature a distinctive and modern design characterized by a sleek, tapered form with multiple recesses.

Incorporating various sustainability features, including energy-efficient design and materials, as well as green spaces and landscaping, the Tower is expected to have a significant economic impact on Jeddah and the region, including boosting tourism and business opportunities. Indeed, once completed, the Jeddah Tower is expected to become a major tourist attraction, drawing visitors from around the world who want to experience its breathtaking views and unique design.

Furthermore, there is an intelligent transport matrix that connects the paths to and from the tower to the various districts and areas surrounding it.
The Tower’s 59 elevator systems, separated into single and double-decked units, provide convenient transportation between floors and levels, giving a memorable experience every time.
When you enter the Tower through its main lobby, you will be spellbound by what the facilities have in store – a truly one-of-a-kind experience. The ground-level lobby is the portal that connects the numerous paths leading to the multiple tiers that make up the Tower’s stature, as well as showcasing the architectural splendor of the towering wonder from within. With magnificent design and over 6,000m2 of interior space, the lobby offers multiple pathways through elevators and various transport mechanisms that connect visitors and residents alike to the various sections encompassing the Tower’s inner spaces.

The residential spaces in the tower have been meticulously planned to meet a wide array of needs, with options ranging from two-bedroom suites to luxurious six-bedroom units. Residents and visitors can expect a multiplicity of amenities, including upscale shopping malls, refined boutiques, gourmet dining establishments, and recreational facilities such as tennis courts. One of the building’s most distinctive features will be its observation deck, which is said to be the highest ever built.
A focal point of the Jeddah Tower, the Four Seasons will make a vital contribution to the development of the Kingdom’s tourism and leisure industry. Situated on floors 19-27, this five-star hotel will become one of Saudi Arabia’s most luxurious, with guests enjoying extraordinary views, fine dining, and world-class Arabic hospitality. Delivering 200 new keys for Jeddah, and part of the centerpiece of Jeddah Economic City, the Four Seasons will present a unique hotel and premium serviced apartments to support the Kingdom’s focus on economic diversification and its move towards Vision 2030.
The Tower also, on levels 42, 43, and 84, will feature sky lobbies, defined as identical levels in which coffee shops, restaurants, and showrooms, in addition to spas and gyms, will offer unparalleled wellness services to visitors.

This spectacular platform will transcend other world-renowned observation decks, hanging at an unmatched height at level 157 of the Tower at 644 meters.
